D'AuraHaven started the way most good ideas do — at midnight, scrolling through looks I wanted but couldn't quite pull off yet.

I kept a folder. Sleek lace fronts. Voluminous extensions. Protective styles that looked effortless but clearly weren't. Hair that made women walk differently the second they put it on. I told myself I'd figure it out eventually. Then I realized "eventually" was just another word for never, and the gap between the hair I dreamed about and the hair I was actually wearing wasn't going to close itself.

So I started closing it — one piece at a time.
